Re-calibration & services

For all OMRON blood pressure monitors, the recommended time between each calibration depends on the use of the product. If the monitor is being used in a home or personal environment, we recommend they are re-calibrated every 2 years. If the monitor is being used in a clinical environment such as a doctors surgery, we recommend that this is done annually to ensure the accuracy of the results.

OMRON blood pressure monitors come with a 3 year warranty from date of delivery. With a copy of your receipt or invoice, your monitor can be re-calibrated free of charge for 3 years from the date of delivery.

If you wish to proceed with this, please follow the below instructions to ensure a quick turnaround.

You will need to include:

  • A brief note stating that your machine requires servicing & explaining the issues you are having with obtaining readings, if any.
  • Your return address details - Items are sent out via our nominated courier so the return address needs to be where someone will be available to sign for it.
  • A daytime contact telephone number.
  • A copy of your purchase receipt or invoice (showing purchase within the last 3 years) so that we can carry the work out free of charge.

Alternatively, feel free to contact us with the serial number on the back of the monitor so that we can check when the monitor was manufactured as we can start the 3 year warranty from the manufacturing date if you no longer have a receipt. If you have had your monitor for more than 3 years, we can of course still service it outside of warranty - There is a standard charge of £30 for this which is payable by cheque made out to "OMRON Healthcare UK Ltd."

We aim to have your monitor returned to you within 7 working days.

No registration is required. You can make a warranty claim with attachment of a proof of purchase. The warranty period starts from the date shown on the proof of purchase.

It is recommended that a blood pressure monitor is inspected every 2 years in case of home use, or on an annual basis in case of professional use.

The service cost is £30 outside of the warranty period.

The service charge in case of a faulty unit must be incurred by the customer. Please check out the terms and conditions of warranty in the instruction manual.

There are no local repair centres. Should servicing be required, please contact our Support team for more information.

Nebulisers in general do not need to be serviced unless they are faulty. However, it is recommended that nebuliser accessories are changed regularly, depending on the usage.

Different products and accessories have different warranty periods.

Medical devices from OMRON have 3 years of warranty. These include:

  • Blood pressure monitors*
  • Nebulisers

Accessories from OMRON have 1 year of warranty. These include:

  • Blood pressure monitor accessories
  • Nebuliser accessories

Omron Academy

The courses on OMRON Academy are developed by medical experts for general practitioners.

The cardiovascular courses on OMRON Academy are endorsed by the British and Irish Hypertension Society, the International Society of Hypertension and the European Society of Hypertension. The courses are accredited in Germany by the Landesärztekammer Baden-Württemberg

After completion of each course you will receive a certificate. The use of the certificates for earning CME points, depends on the rules and regulation in your country. Please check your local rules and regulations.

The respiratory courses are developed by medical experts in the respiratory fields.
