Specifically for blood pressure measurements, some changes are required to follow society in this ongoing trend. How can we as professionals act to this demand and what benefits and hurdles are there?
We will highlight the advantages and challenges of HBPM and how the guidelines are currently recommending the use of HBPM in various aspects. We will zoom in more in depth on nocturnal blood pressure, the prognostic value of a high nocturnal blood pressure and nocturnal blood pressure measurements by home devices and its perspective for a clinical application and finally conclude with telemonitoring and self-management to manage and control hypertension.
